Safety Information
To prevent fire or injury: Remove all packaging before use. Make sure the burner is empty, clean and completely dry before adding a new wax melt or simmering granules. DO NOT overfill your burner with wax as it could overflow and cause a fire hazard or injury. Only use burners that are suitable for wax melts and use one, unscented, 4 hour tealight. Please DO NOT use 8 hour tealights as this can cause some burners to overheat and catch fire or crack and break. When the tealight has gone out please leave the burner to cool down before lighting another tealight to prevent the burner overheating. DO NOT leave the burner unattended while in use. DO NOT move your burner once lit. Keep away from draughts. Keep out of reach of children and pets. DO NOT light your burner and have it in an enclosed place or too close to the wall. Make sure the area around the burner is free from other items to prevent the risk of fire. Please read and follow all instructions provided with your burner before use. The products purchased from Legacy Aromas are NOT FOR CONSUMPTION.
Wax Melts - Break off desired amount. The average amount is shown below, however, this is just a guideline. How much you use will all depend on how big your burner is and how strong you want the scent to be;
10 Section Snap Bars - 2 squares
Christmas Snap Bar - 1 section
Christmas Snowflakes - Cut into 4
Shot Pots/Sample Pots - Half the pot
Pack of 2 Hearts - 1 or 2 hearts
6 Heart Clamshells - 1 large heart
4 Cube Clamshells - 1 cube
Jar of 30 Hearts - 6 hearts
Butterfly Sample - Half the butterfly
Skulls - Cut into 4
Bouquet Small Roses - 1 rose
Bouquet Large Roses - Cut into 4
Place your chosen amount in the well of an empty, clean and completely dry burner. Light an unscented 4 hour tealight in the base of the burner/Turn on your electric burner. The wax will melt and the scent will be released. When the tealight has gone out please leave the burner to cool down before lighting another tealight. When you can no longer smell the fragrance, remove the wax, clean the well of the burner and add a new scent.
Removing Wax Melts - When you can no longer smell the scent you will need to remove the wax from your burner. You can do this a few ways;
1. Let the wax cool to prevent burning yourself. Before the wax fully solidifies, wipe it out with kitchen towel or a couple of cotton pads and place them directly in the bin.
2. If the wax has fully solidified turn on the burner/light a tealight and when the wax just about starts to melt you should be able to push down on the edge of the wax and 'pop' it out the burner.
3. If the wax is still in liquid form (but not too hot) put a couple of cotton wool balls into the wax to soak it up.
Please make sure you discard the wax in the bin DO NOT wash or dispose of wax down the drain.
When the wax has been removed wash/wipe out the well of your burner to clean it. Make sure the burner is 100% dry before placing in a new wax melt because any water in the burner could cause the wax to bubble and spit.
Simmering Granules - Place a teaspoon or two of the granules in the well of your burner. Light a tealight below to release the aroma. DO NOT add water. The scent in simmering granules usually last for 3-4 hours depending on the size of your burner and how many granules you use at a time. When you can no longer smell the scent, turn off your burner, discard the granules, clean your burner and add a new scent.
Aroma Bags - Hang the aroma bag in your car or wardrobe, or place in a drawer. Shake the bag every few days to help to release the scent. The warmer the bag gets the stronger the scent is. On a cold day you may not smell the scent although it could still have plenty of scent left in it.
